words or weapons?

i was talking to a friend and we alked about how simply a few words can make us or break us. We know how to hurt eachother and we use it as a weapon.

when we get hurt...
when we hurt each other.
when we gossip about each other.
when we don't do the work of making peace with one another.

people get hurt. we'll never heal until we can identify who did what when. only then can we begin the process of being set free.

my desire

i want nothing more that to drown in your love, Lord.

heart matters

always follow your heart; God is leading.

God will always be there for You, he will never let you go, and won't ever leave you comfortless.

Good things come to those that wait.

- have a little patience.

- don't be so hard on your emotions.

- but i really want to start over again.

speak from YOUR heart.

The bible teaches us to speak from out hearts.

negative thoughts are fuel for discouragement, depression and many other unpleasant emotions.

God wants us to ask Him for help. But too many times we think we can do it all ourselves.

i feel weak

when i feel weak, i remember this verse:"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

We should crave/want a relationship with Christ

Nothing but Gods love ever completely satisfies because the soul was created for a relationship with Him. The love shaped void was meant to be filled with Him. It was on Gods perfect love that romantic love is built. When we pour Gods unchanging love as a foundation a love that is not self seeking, we build an unshakable structure that can be home to a romantic love. But until the foundation is solid you cannot begin to build.

relying on people is the most ridiculous thing you can do.

Surround yourself with people who are going to fill you up! Not bring you down, who will encourage you, not discourage you, and truly love you, not just befriend you.

Don't rely on people as the center of your life. God should be the center!

God is enough.

Forget gifts....forget cars....forget houses.....forget jobs.....and stability.

Everything in this world may fail you, but God never will.

Nothings ever promised tomorrow

so leave behind no regrets, no "i shoulda's" no "i coulda's" be yourself, forget the insults, remember the compliments, YOU are beautiful no matter what anyone says.

what we place in our minds determines what come out in our words and actions. Replace bad thoughts with better thoughts. Pray that God will help you focus on pure and good thoughts.

I'm sick with the flu. I threw up on the way home from bible study. i didn't even make it inside. heck, i threw up in my car! that's right, my car. now it smells like vomit. sick nasty. now I'm stuck in bed. blargh.

pray i get better soon.

through the looking glass

I look out my living room window. I just stare in awe of glorious beauty.

The sun about to go down puts a golden sparkle on everything it touches.

There is something beautiful about being wounded. It teaches you to drink deeper and love deeper. It teaches you to stand in your living room peering out the window to take a deep breath in. Makes you want to leave everything to find something else. Something better, something holy, something beautiful.

The has instructed us not to love the world or any thing in it. He as called us to be of the set apart. He spoke with authority and had an extreme love for sinners. Because He paid the ultimate price-sacrifice for our sins.

Grace vs Ungrace

Grace. it is favor. something we don't deserve but receive anyway.

we are all sinners, but God loves us anyway.

In some ways, i am still searching for Grace.

i woke up with the worst pain in my stomach only to be greeted by aunt flow. yeash. not a good way to start the morning.

then, i drank milk with my doughnut and the milk tasted gross. i love milk. its not gross, but today, it was.

i want to crawl back into bed and make the cramps go away. ewww.

cure for pain

The most important lessons we learn occur in the midst of our pain. It can increase our ability to love deeper and deeper.

It is when we are least like God that we run to Him for protection.

He has plans to prospeus and keep us safe. Plans to give us hope and a future.

But we don't deserve it. What we deserve died with Christ on the cross.

Sing It!

Relationships are like spandex, they reveal a lot about a person. How we handle our relationships says a lot about our faith. But dating should have a purpose; to learn who and how to love.

making a list and checking it twice

Making a list of what you want.

The list may show what you want, but it probably won't show what you need. You can't solve matters of the heart with strategies from your head. God is the same way. He sees what we want and then provides us with what we need. When we make lists of qualities we want in a boyfriend/girlfriend we are telling God what we think is best for us, and our list become demands to God. Instead lets make Must-not-have lists.

To establish a healthy long-tern relationship are love, joy. peace, patience,kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.

However, love isn't real until it comes from the source, God.

We all long for that someone. That someone who will accept us and be there for us, but if we would just be still, love would find us. Love always finds us. That is really the true meaning of true love.

Romantic relationships don’t complete you they reveal you. Like a mirror for your soul, your boyfriend or girlfriend will reflect all the good and bad traits you already posses.

As I sit her at Panera bread and watch numerous couples walk by I can’t help but wonder what they reveal in one another. What great things they show, what bad things they show.

You can try to hide your emptiness, but it is impossible. We can’t hide something that isn’t there; if we are not comfortable in our own skin.

Also, for us to love completely, we must learn to love the Lord first and others second. That order is critically important.
